Frequently Asked Questions

How long do you stay at the wedding?

I generally arrive 2 hours before the ceremony and leave around 30 minutes after the first dance. I’ve found that this is more than adequate to successfully capture everything that a client requires.

Do you take formal family photos?

The vast majority of your wedding day photographs will be captured in a natural style. I love to record those authentic moments. I do believe that it is important to shoot a handful of posed portraits with your closest family members. These are taken care of quickly and effectively.

How long does it take to receive our edited photographs?

Your gallery will be ready within 4-6 weeks. You can download high resolution images directly from your gallery with no watermark. You have copyright to print as you wish.

Can family and friends buy prints from you?

Yes, your gallery can be shared with family and friends. From here they can order quality prints, wall art and albums directly from me.

What are the payment terms?

A £250 booking fee is required to reserve your date. The balance is due 4 weeks before the wedding. You can pay in instalments if you wish.

Do you offer pre wedding shoots?

Yes, pre wedding shoots can be arranged to coincide with your wedding planning meeting. The cost is £100 and includes around 30 digital images. Yarm is a beautiful place for pre wedding shoots. Samples can be viewed on request.

How many photographs will we receive?

This varies from wedding to wedding but an average number is around 750 edited photographs.

How does the album process work?

We’ll take care of designing the album and will send design proofs via email. You can then make changes as you wish before we order the album. This ensures a fast turnaround time. We want you to have your album as soon a possible after the wedding.

I’m interested in video, can you tell me more?

My videography is an add on service to your photography. Modern cameras have made the job of recording moving images alongside stills much easier in recent years. This allows me to quickly adapt my camera to shoot both still images and video footage. My main focus will be to capture photographs, with enough video recorded along the way to produce a short highlights movie (approx 6-8 minutes long). This is often more than enough for my couples, however if you are seeking a full videography service I can recommend a host of excellent, dedicated videographers.

How long have you been a photographer?

My career as a professional photographer began in 2012, this is my full time job and I love my work!

Why do you limit the number of weddings you shoot each year?

I keep a close eye on my diary to ensure a quality service. There is a huge amount of work involved in photographing, editing and preparing a wedding gallery for a client. Your images will be given the attention that they deserve.

Are you insured? What happens if your camera breaks?

Yes, I’m a proud professional and you can rest assured that I am fully insured.

I will have a wide range of cameras and lenses with me on the day, meaning that in the unlikely event of camera failure I’ll have plenty of back up.

Can we visit you before making a booking?

Yes absolutely. I’d love for you to pay me a visit to chat about your wedding plans. You can view albums at our studio here in Yarm.
